History:
Swamp
Thing 4x4 is the newest name for a Monster Truck that is steeped in history.
Originally built in America and based on a Dan Patrick (Patrick Enterprises)
chassis, this truck was originally called Dragon Slayer. After campaigning
the American Monster Truck circuit for a number of years the truck was
given a refreshing new look and reappeared as Captain Insano. At the
end of the 2000 Monster Truck Racing Season Captain Insano was boxed
up and shipped to the UK. During the winter of 2002 this historic Monster
Truck was given the most thorough and detailed refurbishment at the L.A.Supertrux
Ltd headquarters in Daventry. Raced for two year with a 3D body on over
the winter of 2004/2005 was refurbished again at LA. Supertrux Ltd. and
fitted with a Ford 2004 F350 Super Duty Body paint by Tony Dixon to mimic
the old spirit of Swampy.
