08/06/2009-Monster Jam Cardiff was just bad luck for the team. The truck was running really good, but for monster jam shows we have to use one of there RII units (switches off the engine remotely) which got very wet. As the weather in Cardiff was like a monsoon and we were pitted in an area where the roof was leaking. As a result water it got inside the RII unit. At first the left channel in the RII went, so we where going to use right channel for freestyle. We checked it in intermission and it was fine, but just before our freestyle run it is checked again and it wouldn't shut down the engine. So team will have to wait till next time. It was good to see so many our fans again in the pit party. You came form all over the country to see us and all we can say is sorry. Hope you all still had a good time at the show, it was still awesome.

04/06/2009-The team has just got back from a Promoting tour for Monster Jam, Promoting the biggest monster truck show in the UK, which is on this weekend in Cardiff. We first started at the wonderful Butlins in Minehead for three days and then on to the massive Toys R Us store in Cardiff for three days, this was prior to the three shows over along weekend, one was at the Modified Nationals 2009 for two days in the very hot sun then followed by a trip to The Surrey County Show. 20/05/2009-Swamp Thing 4x4 along side with there team mate's truck Slingshot, are pleased to announce that both trucks are now fitted with wheel tethers.

These are the first trucks in the UK to have looked into minimizing the risk if a wheel or axles brakes. The wheel tethers are designed to take up the energy of the wheel if it brakes and to help it stay attached to the truck with the steel rope.

15/05/2009-Monster Jam is back on TV. Bravo 2 is showing the world famous series on fridays between 19.00 & 20.00. and at the weekend between 18.00 & 19.00. Happy watching!!!

05/05/2009-What all Monday's should be like!! Swamp Thing 4x4 along with some friends had a Monster Monday at Santa Pod Raceway. The other trucks there where Podzilla, Red Dragon, Grim Reaper and Big Pete, we all had a monster smashing time. Also there was a few surprises for the Santa Pod fans, Flyin Ryan with his Motorcycle show and just in from Las Vegas Terry Grant in his amazing car control show. And to top if off the record breaking Fireforce jet car. It was Awesome.

27/04/2009-The two new MONSTER JAM® world champions are heading to Cardiff. The new 2009 World Racing Champion Tom Meents in Maximum Destruction. As well as the 2009 Monster Jam World Freestyle Champion Damon Bradshaw driving El Toro. Also two times former world racing champion John seasock in Batman is in the house. Not to mention the crowd favorites Grave Digger, Donkey Kong, Monster Mutt, Madusa and Swamp Thing 4x4. 21/04/2009- The Swamp Thing 4x4 team had a blast in Arena Essex last weekend. If you missed it we have put together a video of some of the action.

11/04/2009- Good news for all video game fans the new Monster Jam Urban Assault is now out in the shops. It follows the last Monster Jam game but with more trucks, more tracks, mini games and you can now take your monster trucks out of the stadiums and into the streets. It's awesome!

04/02/2009- Shocked and Saddened by sudden death of the "Voice of Truckfest". Phil Easton, the man who for years has presented the main arena at Truckfest events nationally, passed away on Sunday 1st Feb 2009, after suffering a brain haemorrhage at his home in Crosby. As well as being the main arena host at Truckfest, Phil was also the stadium announcer at Liverpool's Anfield Stadium and a presenter on Liverpool radio station, Radio City. Phil was much liked by everyone around him, and he will be dearly missed by all of us at the Swamp Thing 4x4 Team. Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
