Brief Life History:
When I left school I trained as a motor vehicle paint sprayer. That is
when I brought my first motocross bike. I then went on to take and pass
both my car and motorbike test. In my spare time I used to repair and
modify cars. I passengered in long distance trails on motocross sidecar
for 2 years, which took place all over England, and I received many awards.
I used to mechanic for a formula 2 side car team for 3 years and I helped
them to win 2 championships. I then purchased a 2-stroke 500cc motocross
sidecar outfit; it was then I decided to buy a Toyota Hi-Lux in order
to transport he sidecar around. As I was used to driving modified cars
I had to modify the Hi-Lux, and the only way was up. This Toyota was one
of the tallest road legal pick up trucks in the country.
I then met Nigel Morris from L.A.Supertrux who said he would like to build
a formula 1 Monster Truck. It was then that we started building Wild Child
which is a full space frame chassis with long travel suspension with a
rear engine and of course those enormous tires.
As part of the team I helped to fabricate the main chassis including spraying
it and I then fitted a GRP body of a modified Toyota Hi-Lux body I went
onto painting it in its fetching colour purple. I have been on the crew
at all of the events that Wild Child has been to, doing all the safety
checks and retain tasks.
Most recently I have been helping to build BIGFOOT 17, which is the first
ever BIGFOOT Monster Truck to be built out of the USA. This has all the
very latest engine and suspension technologies.
Late in 2002 I purchased my very own Monster Truck, which was very successful
in the USA and with my know how brining it to the forefront in safety
and performance, which I finished in Spring 2003. I am owner/driver member
and officer of the MTRA (Monster Truck Racing Association) and have a
Tech Licence for inspecting the safety of Monster Trucks
Seeing monster trucks on TV
at Christmastime during the early 80’s inspired me to one day to
own my own monster truck. I debut in Swamp Thing 4x4™ wearing its
now classic alligator paint job in the 2003 PROMT Championship with some
promising results finishing 2nd. I went on to finish 5th in 2004 and jumping
back to runner up spot in 2005. 2006 he lived up to my reputation as "Mr
Consistency" and finished 2nd again, so watch out for me in 2007.
